Application Process

Joining an ESC (European Solidarity Corps) volunteering activity is simple! Follow these steps:

  1. Register on the ESC Portal
    • Create your profile on the ESC Portal.
    • Fill in your personal details, skills, and motivation.
  2. Check Calls and Apply
    • Browse the current volunteering opportunities published on the portal.
    • Apply directly to the activity that interests you.
  3. Communication with Organisations
    • The hosting organisation will review your application.
    • They may contact you via email or online meeting (Zoom, Skype, etc.) to discuss your motivation and suitability.
  4. Selection and Confirmation
    • If you are selected, both the hosting and supporting organisations will confirm your participation.
    • Your volunteering agreement will be prepared.
  5. Preparation and Orientation
    • Before starting, you will receive detailed information, orientation, and cultural adaptation support.

Selection Criteria

ESC volunteering is based on the principle of equal opportunities. Volunteers are selected according to the following criteria:

  • Age and Eligibility: Be between 18–30 years old and registered on the ESC portal.
  • Motivation: Show interest and willingness to contribute to the project’s goals.
  • Activity Relevance: Have the interest or basic skills suitable for the activity (many activities do not require specific experience).
  • Inclusion and Diversity: Young people with fewer opportunities (social, economic, or geographical obstacles) are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Language and Communication: Basic communication skills are sufficient; advanced language proficiency is not usually required.
  • Cultural Adaptability: Be open to teamwork and working in multicultural environments.
